Ride for Refuge 2018
The Day We Worked Hard
Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 was another chance for cycling, walking and donating. Stand As One Ministry had groups doing all this in Fort Langley (shown above), in Smithers BC, and in Victoria BC. We had 64 participants, making up 11 teams and we raised $25,000.00!
The wind may have blown, some may have been chilly, but the smiles and the fun and the scenery and the joy of movement and the joy of working hard for something that means so much kept all of us willing and excited. Well done teams! Well done donors! Well done and Thank You!
We’re bringing you a bit of the excitement in a video! Take a look.
Our biggest fundraising team was in Smithers with $6,690.00 raised! They are amazing. Thank you “Saddles for Soya”!
Victoria had a small but mighty team that we are so thankful for. They raised $3200.00 and were all smiles!
Once again the ride is done, and sadly the bikes are back in the garage. We are so willing to work hard for the work ongoing in Malawi. We at Stand As One are so thankful for each participant, donor, and encourager. Please keep checking our posts as we continually update on how these funds are impacting the communities there.
Just so you know, the RIDE next year is on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019. SAVE THE DATE!
