Managing everything that's happening at Mitongwe can be a daunting task. Fortunately, we have Deon and his family as our committed and visionary managers who are leading the way. They are overseeing a range of projects, including the massive Agroforestry initiative, the Guest Hospitality program, the dryland project, ongoing property development, community outreach programs, and training programs covering all these areas and Foundations for Farming. Our most abundant resource is the Woodland Reserve, which covers an area of 350 ha. To expand the existing old-growth forest, we're already in the initial stages of restoring 150 ha of forest land through our agroforestry development project. We're also creating a positive impact in the community with our popular soccer league among the youth players and local villages.
Tree of Life
We joined forces with Tree of Life, Netherlands, in July 2019 to acquire the Mitongwe Woodland Reserve. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to work together on various projects and share our expertise and resources across borders. We are committed to using our financial and human resources in our respective countries to support the project and positively impact the environment.
